The Carencro Country Christmas returns to Carencro this weekend. And according to one of Santa’s elves, there could be snow at this event. Yes, actual fluffy icy snow.

The Carencro Country Christmas has been a family tradition for the last 25 years—no cost to attend. The event starts this Friday, December 2nd at City Hall with the lighting of the City Christmas Tree at 6 pm. There will also be holiday music, food vendors, and activities around the Patriots Pavilion. Santa will be on the scene taking photos. So get your Christmas lists ready.

The holiday fun continues on Saturday, December 3 with the 2nd Annual Dasher, Dancer, Prancer 5k Run. The race starts at 8 am. The Carencro Country Christmas kicks off right after the race from 9 am to 3 pm at the Carencro Community Center at 5115 N. University Avenue.

It’s the season of giving! A collection area will be set up accepting donations of food, hygiene products, and gently used school uniforms. Plus holiday entertainment is provided by a local choir. Santa will available at 10 am.

Judging of Homes and businesses for Holiday Spirit will happen on December 13. Contact Margret if you are interested in participating. 337-896-6686, or 337-280-9570
